Gertrude's Ugandan Cooking Class
Peel, cook and eat together at Gertrude's in Nansana: matooke, groundnut sauce, posho, yams — the Ugandan table, made by your own hands.
And if nobody else books your slot, it runs as a private tour — same price.
Hosted by GertrudeCooks luwombo the way her grandmother did
Four hands-on hours of Ugandan home cooking with Gertrude: you peel, cook and eat together, and leave understanding the food that feeds this country.
On the fire: matooke, sweet potatoes, cassava, posho, yams, pumpkin, greens and groundnut sauce — the classic vegetarian Ugandan spread — finished with juice blended from fresh Ugandan fruit.
Runs every day at 10:00 or 14:00 in Nansana (exact directions come with your confirmation). All ingredients included; you eat everything you make.
