Ngamba Island is home to 49 chimpanzees — 46 rescued orphans and three born at the sanctuary — on a forested island in Lake Victoria.

Pickup at 7:30, then about two hours by boat from Ggaba landing site. You watch the feeding demonstrations, walk the island, and hear the keepers' stories before the boat back and lunch.

Bring a camera, sunscreen, long trousers and a rain jacket. Boat, entrance, lunch and transport included.
