Bwindi Gorillas, Three Days
An hour with a mountain gorilla family in Bwindi. We handle the permit — book early, they genuinely sell out.
And if nobody else books your slot, it runs as a private tour — same price.
Permits genuinely sell out. Use our free permit check before you plan anything: jangu-africa.vercel.app/permit-check

Three days for one hour that people describe for the rest of their lives. We handle the permit — book at least two weeks out; in high season they genuinely sell out.
Lodging comes in three honest tiers — budget (Bakiga Lodge), midrange (Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge) or luxury (Buhoma Lodge) — tell us which when we confirm. The second night is at Lake Bunyonyi, the prettiest lake in Uganda.
The trek is real: one to six hours in damp, steep forest. Proper hiking boots, no camera flash, and porters at the trailhead are worth every shilling.
Day by day
- Day 1 — The long road southwest
8:00 pickup, Equator stop at Kayabwe, lunch in Mbarara, evening arrival at Bwindi. Dinner at the lodge.
- Day 2 — Gorillas
Ranger briefing at 8:00, tracking from 8:30 in groups of eight. One to six hours of forest, then one full hour with the family. Down to Lake Bunyonyi for the night.
- Day 3 — Bunyonyi & home
Breakfast over the lake, then back to Kampala or straight to Entebbe airport.
