Multi-day safari · Lake Mburo
Lake Mburo, Overnight
The closest savannah park to Kampala, taken slowly: game drives, the boat among the hippos, and a walking safari with a ranger — two or three days.
And if nobody else books your slot, it runs as a private tour — same price.
Hosted by SteveWalking Kampala since 2018
Mburo is the only park in Uganda you can properly walk in — and the overnight versions make room for it: a four-hour walking safari with a ranger among the zebras and elands.
Two days: Equator stop and lunch on arrival, afternoon game drive and evening boat, then the walking safari and home. Three days spreads the same at an easier pace, with a dawn game drive added.
Lodges in three tiers — budget (Rangeland Mburo), midrange (Rwakobo Rock, Eagles Nest), luxury (Mihingo). Park fees, boat, walks, full board, water and the 4x4 included.
Day by day
- Day 1 — In by lunch
6:30 pickup, Equator stop at Kayabwe, lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive, evening boat cruise among the hippos.
- Day 2 — On foot
The walking safari: about four hours with a ranger, at animal eye level. Then home — or a second night on the three-day version.
- Day 3 — Dawn drive & home — three-day version only
Early game drive, breakfast, and back to Kampala or Entebbe.
What's in the price
