Steve's Kampala Walk
Half a day — or a full day — through downtown Kampala with Steve: Owino market, the old taxi park, Katanga, and the city as locals live it.
And if nobody else books your slot, it runs as a private tour — same price.
Book any safari with us within 7 days of this walk, and your $20 comes off it.
Hosted by SteveWalking Kampala since 2018
Get an in-depth introduction to Kampala on a small-group walk through the capital's markets, monuments and backstreets — the city as Steve has walked it since 2018.
The half-day walk covers the first eleven stops below in about four hours: start at 10:00 or 14:00 from the Makerere University main gate, and you're done downtown around 14:00 or 18:00. The full-day walk starts at 10:00, adds the Gaddafi Mosque and the Kabaka's palace at Mengo, and winds down around 17:00.
All entrance fees are included, it runs every day of the week, and groups stay small — twelve at most, often just you.
